Our 14 year old Staffy was waking me in the night to go out, but over the last month she has started weeing in her bed. I'm having to wash her covers everyday. Has anyone tried the dog nappies, are they any good?

Thought i would try and ordinary pull up tonight and see how they do.

I've tried setting and alarm but as it's raining she won't go outside at the moment. Slightest hint of rain and she goes back to bed 😄

Have you talked to your vet? I got medication for this for my 7 year old cava. There are also herbal remedies on the market - I’ve been trialling one instead of the vet meds and it seems to be working.

Vet just said it's her age.

Which herbal are you trying please? @cocopops

A friend used disposable nappies for her elderly incontinent dog and was happy with them (they're readily available on Amazon - of course! - and Pets at Home, etc.).
We have a 16.5yr old Westie, who has an amazingly strong bladder for his age, but we place two "human" incontinence pads (the type that usually go on the bed) on the floor at night for the occasional emergency and he seems to know that's where he should go if he gets caught short in the middle of the night. (We also put one on his bed, but that's for his constant sneezing, so I'm not constantly having to wash his bedding.) The brand we use are called Free Spirit (from Tesco's).
