supplement for itching and reactiveness

Hi I have an 9 month old cavapoo. She itches a lot. No fleas of obvious reason. Beautiful coat and no dry skin. She is also prone to intense barking at anything - the wind, a plane as well as the usual things like doorbells and thunder. I have been looking at the various supplements but there is so much conflicting advise I wanted to ask for some recommendations please.

She’s likely allergic to something she is being fed - that’ll be the itchiness (assuming she is being regularly groomed and washed).

She needs a behaviourist for her reactivity - not drugs. Reactivity gets worse with time so this needs to be nipped in the bud. Your vet should be able to recommend someone good.

My Labrador had itchy skin and it was solved by changing to a fish-based food rather than chicken. Reactivity won't be cured by supplements. Talk to your vet about a behaviourist.

Itching can be stress. Along with your description of her I'd say that building her confidence would be the first port of call rather than supplements. Any good trainer will be able to show you how once they have assessed her.

She needs to see a vet to get to the bottom of her itchiness - unfortunately it's very common in poodles and poodle crosses. As there are so many different things that could be causing it, you really need to find the source rather than just giving her supplements.

In terms of reactivity, again, you really need behavioural support but we personally found that the NutriPaw calming supplements made a big difference to our reactive beagle. They're by no means a cure, but they "took the edge off" just enough to get him under threshold so we could work with him.
