Wisdom Panel - do you have to provide micorchip ID?

Has anyone done this? do you have to provide the microchip ID?

Considering this swab DNA test, as I'm interested in the breed mix of my dog. It also screens for genetic health conditions at the same time, which is ok, but not my reason for doing it.

I'm concerned about results being sold to insurance companies. If you don't provide microchip ID, then it'll be no problem. But if you do have to then.... I'll pause on the whole thing just in case there's a scary in there and my insurance rockets!

No, you don't. Just your name and pet's name. You can add a photo and more info later if you want to. This is useful for seeing your dog's relatives. (We discovered that two of our rescue dogs are brothers. They don't look alike and are from different litters.)

No they don't ask for microchip ID, they might sell on some data anonymised for research purposes but it would usually say in the terms and conditions.

I found it pretty accurate on breed ( though mine were made up of common UK breeds) and it was only the MDR1 test ( where they react to some drugs differently) included at that time.

They didn't have it set up like ancestry when I had my dogs tested to see relatives I will have to find logon details and see if they've added this for past dogs too .
Wow @Swissrollover that must've been a suprise to discover you had siblings! Just shows though how easy it is for non pedigree breeders who use a friend/local dog as sire without knowing lineage maybe inadvertantly inbreeding.
