Security when using different dog sitters

Hi all.
When We first got our dog nearly 6 months ago she had separation anxiety, anytime we left the house we'd wait for the dog sitter to come before we left.

With training she's much better now and can be left for a few hours, we have three different dog sitters who come during the days while we're at work. We've been leaving the key under a plant pot by the door for them but obviously that's not very secure, particularly in a city 🤣

Those who use dog walkers/sitters what do you do? I was thinking of getting one of those key safes on the outside of the house but I'm not sure how secure they are?

Thanks x

I'm a dog walker and the vast majority of my clients have a key cut for me, a couple have a key safe. I only have one who leaves it out for me and I really don't think it's the best idea, you have no idea who is watching. I post it back through her door when I have finished, I won't leave it where i found it.

If you have just one normal key it shouldn't cost that much to get 3 cut for your walkers. If you have one of those fancy ones you have to send away obviously it's a lot more. My most recent client told me it cost him £40 + to get a key cut for me!

Many holiday rentals use key safes so they must be secure. Use that but I wouldn't put it in a very visible position.

I'm a dog walker and most of my customers use key safes.
