Dog bite - should I worry?

My dog bit me quite hard on the hand today, she didn’t break the skin but it was enough to bruise. She broke a claw a few days ago and had it removed under sedation today - she is very wobbly and groggy. She was trying to lie down but had the bandaged foot stuck, I tried to gently lift it to help her lie down and she immediately bit down very hard on my hand - no warning but she is very spacey. I’ll keep her separate from my other dog and I’ve warned the DCs to leave her well alone.

She has bitten me once before a few months ago - I was getting her into pyjamas (she has a short coat and gets cold at night), usually she shows no signs of being concerned when I’m putting them on her. On this occasion she was on the sofa and maybe felt trapped - again she bit hard but didn’t break the skin. No growling etc. Is this a concern?

My dog also needs to wear clothes throughout winter. Normally an equafleece, which he actually comes to me to put on whenever he is cold. He makes it clear that he wants it on. However, last christmas, I decided he would look cute in pjs. He hates them and this normally placid dog, who volunteers to come and get his jumper on, grumbles, licks his lips, etc when he is forced into the pjs. I took this as a clear sign that he is happy with equafleece but not pjs.

If she didn't break your skin she has bite inhibition.
When you see they can tear in to meat/bones etc your dog could have really hurt you had she chosen to.

I think you put your finger on an area of concern in your OP - the sofa. That is the thing that I think you will absolutely have to change. Every dog and every person is entitled to a resting area where they will not be disturbed.
Unfortunately if your dog's nature is such that she may react to an unwelcome stimulus with a hard fast bite, as she has repeatedly shown you, she simply cannot be allowed on the sofa.
