Advice unwell dog

My dog wasn't well in January and I took him to the vets. They checked him over and he twinged at his shoulder and they gave pain relief for short term. He seemed to improve. The past couple of weeks he's been behaving strangely. It started by snapping at my other dog (more a growl and air snap no contact). He sometimes is taking himself off and others following me like a shadow. 2 days ago he started an odd shaking movement and panting. He had plenty to drink and been going to the toilet normally. This passed. It happened again last night. I rang the vets and he has an appointment tomorrow. I gave him Loxicam and this settled him. I have moved his legs and felt his stomach (it's soft) and nothing obvious seems to be bothering him. He did a wee inside today which is unusual and it smelt very strong. Just wondered if anyone has a clue before tomorrow 🙈😭. I have stayed with him constantly to keep an eye and nothing standing out other than he's much quieter than normally. He is drinking and eating the normal amount. Thank you if you got this far.

No advice. I'm sorry. But hope he's OK. They're cause us such worry because they can't tell us. 😔

Poor thing. Hopefully the vets can find answers for you or suggest a plan.

No advice I'm afraid although I do wonder if given strong smelling urine and urinating inside, could it be as simple as a UTI or perhaps a kidney/bladder infection, I'm unsure if dogs can even get these but it might explain some discomfort which would explain snapping, perhaps causing a fever and therefore panting. I'm likely way off but it came to mind so I'd rather mention it.

I did wonder about a UtI myself. Thankfully no blood when he wees. I'll try and get a sample pot and take a sample in. He tends to squat so hopefully won't be to difficult 🙈

If he has a UTI you may want to try Urinaid - my dog just had one and because we caught it fast enough we were able to treat it and clear it up solely with that, which is all herbal instead of antibiotics which have other nasty side effects.
they sell them next day delivery on Amazon.

Protein and keytones in his urine so treating as UTI and seeing how he is when course finishes. No blood though which is good. Getting a urine sample from a dog is not easy!

Good news hopefully. Hope he's on the mend soon.
