What are the best food/toppers for an elderly dog?

Please can I get some suggestions of the best food/toppers/extras for my elderly dog? She is 13 and I want to make sure she is getting the best nutrition that she needs. Preferably wet food because she only has 2 teeth. I would like some sort of joint and mobility supplement too. What is the best one? Anything else I should be adding to her food?

thanks!

Yumove or seraquin are good
I used salmon oil for my elderly cat who adored it and it says for dogs on the pump too!

We give our 13 year old collie mix a tin of sardines in oil twice a week which helps his joints and coat.

If you're just wanting some toppers to change it up occasionally and add some interest then fish4dogs do a variety of meal toppers that I've used in the past to encourage fussier eaters. Being fish, they obviously have the added benefit of aiding skin, coat, joint and brain health.

My own dogs have spent most of their lives on fish based diets. The current pair are 10 and 12 and I still get asked if they're puppies at least once a month, despite one having only a few more teeth than yours, OP!

Ah that’s amazing, thank you. I will take a look at fish4dogs now!

Our 2 oldest dogs are 13.5 and 14. They are both a bit arthritic at the back end but no other health issues.
For breakfast, they have Rocco wet food mixed with Harrington dry food.
Evening meal is either chicken and rice or chicken and vegetables. This is home cooked. I use a 2 kg bag of chicken portions from Tesco, which makes 4 days of meals for them.

They each have a slice of ham or a small piece of cheese at lunchtime.

For the last couple of years we've used Doggy Dailies Hip and Joint supplement, glucosamine and CBD oil.
They have half a rich tea biscuit each day as a treat and a small amount of vanilla ice cream twice weekly.
They've been on this feeding regime for 10 years and have done very well on it. Until recently they have both been able to go for a long walk each day, 3 ish miles. The 14 year old has slowed down over the last couple of months and had an arthritis flare up but can do about a mile now and is improving.
They get other occasional treats at times, such as a fried egg after a vets visit.
I also brush their teeth every evening and they both still have all their teeth.

Lillidale Projoint is a good product for keeping elderly dogs mobile. You sprinkle it on their food using the measuring scoop, and they seem to find it palatable. We used it for our elderly dog and she started asking to go for a walk again in the afternoons after a spell of refusing.
For an all-round supplement, something like Dorwest's Keeper's Mix might be good.

I’d recommend Riaflex as the joint supplement. Comparing the active ingredients, it makes Yumove look like sweeties.

I had my 13 year old on Yumove for a year as a precaution against osteoarthritis. I stopped it to see if there would be any deterioration. None whatsoever six months on.

Our patterdale x is 14 , has all his teeth except one but prefers wet food and he has Nature Diet , his poos are lovely on it . He also has Yumove max for his joints .
