A question about Dogs who sleep in your bed!

I’m not a particularly doggy person. We had one when I was a child but he slept downstairs. At work today there was much discussion about where dogs sleep. Several people have the dogs in their own bed, one person even has two in there under the duvet. The question I didn’t dare ask to my colleagues is what on earth does the dog do if you want intimacy with your partner?! But I am quite interested to know so I thought I’d bring my question to an anonymous forum!

I'm sorry, you lived near a sex field? Are these a thing? I need to know more 😂

Obviously we did!

It was a college field that used to get used in the summer for outdoor sex !

There was also a lane that we used to walk along {fields each side, but close to a city} and that was really used for sex work- so much so we stopped using it.

Thankfully haven't seen people having sex outdoors for years- The Lurcher had a real nose for it. {A female!}

Pic...She'd scan the area-you can see the keen look in her eye- and be OFF if she saw bouncing bottoms.

{The male dog we had at the same time wasn't remotely interested.}

Lurchers are the best dogs ❤️

Lurchers are wonderful!
Sadly I'm not physically fit enough to keep one well enough exercised now -they have a relentless capacity for exercise, both mental and physical- I have a Whippet these days, her exercise needs are much less than a Lurcher- a couple of hours and she's happy with that.

The Lurcher could do sixteen mile walks and still want more.

I'd say with the Sex Field Lurcher {Pic in post above} her need for walks was more important to her than food, {almost}

We don't DTD at bedtime for this reason! Ddog has to be shut in the kitchen with a chew otherwise she'd want to join in.

One of my friends was having sex with his girlfriend once with his dog in the room amd he got a real shock when the dog started licking his balls!

DDog jumps off the bed the second they realise what's going on and finds another place to sleep.

My dog will jump off the bed in a huff and lay on the floor until its over!

Ours does exactly this too.

He’s got a lovely dog bed in our room and it’s pretty much 50/50 whether he’s in our bed or his own. He always looks a bit grumpy if we kick him out of our bed, but he just reluctantly gets into his own bed and sleeps.

Perhaps not allow them to sleep in your bed in the first place?

Our dog sleeps in his own bed for a few hours behind the dog gate and doesn't join us until he's had his last pee of the night, by which time any fun stuff is over and done so it's never been a problem
