Puppy vommiting

13 weeks, was fine last night ate dinner, had her manic hour and went to bed.

Full of beans this morning but turned her nose up at breakfast and water.

She has vomited about 5 times since 8am, obviously just bile as stomach is empty.

She has done two solid poos this morning. Totally normal, no loose stool or abnormal colour at all.

she’s playing as usual. I had to leave her in crate while I cleaned up the living room and she did a bit of vomit in her bed which the poor thing really got distressed at.

Shall I just leave her to rest with no food? She currently following me and dd around, tail wagging as usual.

Had all her puppy vaccinations. No food change. Nothing untoward ingested as it’s been chucking it down here over the last two days, she has only been out to toilet in the contained area we have fenced off for her. No walks yet as vet said two weeks and that’s tomorrow.

it’s been a few years since we lost our last dog, I’ve had three previously but like when you have a new baby after several other children, you forget everything 🤣

Usually if they're okay in themselves...that's fine. BUT, I'd take her to the vets. I guarantee if you ring up and says she's been sick 5 times in 90 minutes, they'll say bring her in ASAP. She's too young to be sick that often and with a puppy it's better to be safe than sorry.

I'd get a puppy that young vet checked.

Even if it's just something and nothing (like eating something that was on the floor that shouldn't have been) very young puppies can dehydrate very quickly. (They can tell you how to make up a rehydration solution, and give you a syringe so you can get fluids in in regular small amounts until dog is drinking normally again)

If there's a dog vomiting bug going round, chances are the vet will know.

Please take her to the vets. No appetite plus multiple vomits is a big red flag for an obstruction. I know you say she hasn't been out in a couple of days, but items can sit in their stomachs/insides for weeks before they start causing symptoms.

Similar happened to us after my ddog had the kennel cough vaccine. Turns out he had a bad reaction and ended up with pneumonia and in doggy hospital for 2 nights! Please get her checked

I have an appointment in half an hour. That’s the soonest they could fit us in.

Her stomach is making horrendous noises.

Paws crossed it's nothing serious. It could just be that she's eaten something that disagrees with her, but at that age I'd always get it checked out sooner rather than later.

She’s fine.

by the time we got to the vet she was drinking the water they gave her in the waiting room and was just fine.

Vet checked her over and said one of those things as she was trying to dive head first into his treat bucket.

He said to wait 12/24 hours next time, these little bugs often happen and work themselves out with a half a day of no food/drink.

Very glad she's OK!
