Best dog shampoo for sensitive skin?

My dog scratches a lot after going to the groomers, so I don’t like to bath her at home. However, when she is really mucky, I do put her in the bath.

She doesn’t have dry or flaky skin, but I don’t want her to be uncomfortable. There are a few I have seen online, with lavender or camomile etc.
Is it trial and error, or can anyone recommend a good one.

I use puppy shampoo.
Have you told the groomer that she’s scratching after? They might change products.

That’s a good idea thanks.
Yes I will say next time I go, I don’t notice it all the time, but it was particularly bad last time, so maybe the groomer had changed products.

We use Bugalugs for sensitive skin, my two are often quite itchy from all the hedges they surf through. Works well and seems gentle enough.

Bugalugs is a great name!

We were told by the vet to use Malaseb shampoo which eases any itching. I always brought it with me to the groomers and they used it.

If you soak oats in water then strain off the lumps you can use the oat water as a gentle shampoo. Another alternative is camomile tea, made not too strong
You don't have to use a chemical based or professionally produced dog shampoo at all.

I always used horse shampoo as they have sensitive skin and it was what I had. Seemed to work much better than dog shampoo

When you say "really mucky" do you mean just dirt / mud? I wouldn't bath a dog for that. Best to let it dry and simply brush it off. If you really feel the need to wash dirt away, just use water. Dirt isn't greasy so you don't need a detergent / soap.

I use baby shampoo-does the trick.

I also use Bugalugs - the oatmeal one. It's the only one i've found that doesn't make her itchy!

My dog has a bad skin allergy which we control with medication, however, our vet recommended Johnson's baby shampoo if she needs a bath and I wash her blankets and coats in a non bio laundry liquid.

I use Kooa sensitive shampoo for my doggo. Seems to be kind and also good at cleaning.
