Me again! I give up with the pulling

Hey me again!
10 month old lab, she pulls me so badly when out on a walk, she is so strong! Has pulled me over numerous times.

ive tried slip lead, different harnesses, and of late spent £250 on a trainer for lose lead walking.
nothing works!!!!
its like she just loses her head when we go out, she doesn’t know what to do with herself. She’s over excited, high energy, jumping from side to side, walking in all kinds of directions, lunging and trying to run…. and of course pulling.

i hate walking her! Which is so sad. Last resort is the halti round the mouth lead but I feel like I’ll just be masking the problem…..

Training, training and more training!

My springer is 2 and loose lead walking has been our biggest challenge by a million miles. It has been painstaking, boring and frustrating but I am finally seeing the light at the end of a the tunnel!! If I know we’re going somewhere he will really struggle I use a double clip harness as I don’t want him to hurt himself. I am mostly getting ok walking now but he still needs a lot of focus and cues by me. Some dogs find it so so difficult and you just have to have a plan and persevere (mine isn’t interested in treats when walking so I just stop until he comes back to heel, lots of verbal praise doesn’t work either as that gets him too excited).

Fortunately he was a dream to train for everything else!!

What training did the trainer advise?

My dog is a puller, he's a 45kg malamute (just under 2 yo) we use perfect fit harness and I clip a halti lead on the front. I have tried it on front and back but discovered part of the issue is that he prefers to walk almost at the end of the lead. Usually first 5 mins out are awful but we persevere we stop/start then eventually he stops. It's partly my fault as I hate walking him due to pulling so we go to a field more often than walking on the lead. It's a frustrating process.

Our trainer also suggests to change direction if they won't respond to stop/start. She also said a halti head collar just masks the problem and she recommends persevering with training.

Get the one that goes around the muzzle. Game changer. My dog is a dream to walk now.

Final straw for me was my 7yr old lab nearly pulling me complete over as I had pram and preschooler in my other hand, purely because he wanted to greet another dog. wish I’d used the muzzle less from the very very start.

She will only get bigger, and stronger.
