Do kennels still take dogs if they need medication?

My dog had a bit on an accident last week. They are OK, but have a cone on their head so they don't lick the area, and need a bit of medicine to make sure there is no infection. There aren't any stitches or anything.

I am going on holiday and have my dog booked into a place I've never used before. How accommodating are kennels at administering medication and what do I need to tell them.

Obviously I am going to call them, but want to have my facts right first. I have a letter from the Vet saying what the problem was, so they will know they don't have some nasty doggie virus that can be spread.

Most would. Needing medication is not unusual for all sorts of reasons.

OK, thanks. I've used kennels a lot, but never had to pass them any medication.

I feel really bad leaving him, but I'll lose loads of money if I don't go on this trip. It's just 3 days.

Yep, ours did in the summer. They charged £1.50 per day of medication though.

Yes absolutely, very normal
