Is this a full breed chihuahua?

My friend paid quite a lot of money for this puppy and she said its a full chihuahua with no papers.

She said its part Russian Toy chihuahua?

I was just wondering what people think as to me it looks like a mixed breed. Not full chihuahua?

Not that it matters in the dog itself, he's lovely and healthy. But in the context of what she paid and was told I think it's relevant.

Yeah I answered not reading on and not knowing there is no such thing as Russian Chihuahua. So absolutely nothing like a sproker.

Yes probably a good analogy. It's still 100% a dachshund.
Sprockers have been breed for decades, it's thought that Scottish game keepers wanted the best of both spans in one dog. It irritates me slightly when people assume they are a modern designer cross like all the poos because they aren't.

It would get on my nerves that she insists it's full chi when it clearly isn't. Tell her that you were talking to a friend and they said that Russian Toy's aren't Chihuahuas and you looked it up and it seems they were right. Soften it by saying it's cuter than a full chihuahua though which I don't think anyone could deny!

I mean, it's clearly not a chihuahua but it looks much healthier than any chihuahua I've ever met, so I'd say she was on to a winner really.

Interesting - I saw a dog the other day and wasn't sure if it was a springer or (working) cocker. I suppose a lot of pet cockers are even more different from springers nowadays.

Sprockers are becoming increasingly popular as pets though god knows why - they are super high energy with strong prey drives.

Any spaniels as a pet is a risk 😂. I've no experience with the show ones though, but my spans are pests if they don't get enough mental stimulation and exercise. Given that, the sprocker is a calm, steady and chilled dog. Although he is absolutely incapable of walking anywhere, he's like a Ferrari 😂.

My sprocker is a complete sock addict. Luckily he likes to carry them, he doesn't eat them 😂 they are funny dogs. They definitely need a job to do! 😂

Deer head chi's have the long noses. But those ears don't look like chihuahua ears...more like a Russian toy terrier. So it is a cross, not a full chihuahua at all.

Or maybe he's actually a Russian toy terrier but for some reason the seller thought they'd get more by selling him as some sort of chihuahua?
