Does she need a scan

My whippet (age 10) went through a few weeks of vomiting after eating her food (wet food), besides this absolutely fine, very perky, poos all fine. I took her for blood tests and they came back all clear. Vet now says next step is to have a full scan (£500 😬) to check for masses or if she’s eaten anything she shouldn’t have. She’s been on dry food and chicken the past week and no vomiting or symptoms whatsoever. I stupidly forgot to renew her insurance and £500 is a lot of money in our household so don’t want to go ahead if I’m just worrying over nothing. Any advice appreciated.

If she's fine on dry food I would just keep on her that for now and see how she goes.

I'd leave it. And if something sinister was found on a scan, would you put your dog through the treatment? If no, I would carry on as you are doing. If yes, then scan if the dog goes downhill again.
