Is it worth investing in a fancy raincoat/overall for our cocker ?

I have been looking at raincoats for our cocker and firstly I'm thinking if it doesn't cover his lower half (his feathering underneath gets muddy and wet) it's not really worth it and then I'm wondering if it's an essential at all.
The aim really is to keep him dry on wet winter walks and to avoid post walk washing that won't be as easy or comfortable in winter.
I've been looking at something like this...
Any advice welcome

We've got a fleece with a waterproof belly panel from t_dawg uk. They're like equafleece but cheaper

Ours is short and old and will not walk on the winter of her tummy gets wet. So we put a fleece on her for those times only and she'll then walk happily through the muddy woods

They only seem to make them for dachshunds

Is your dog ok with wearing a coat? A lot of spaniels don't like to wear one as they tend to be hot dogs and overheat. I made this mistake with one of my dogs (now deceased), bought him this superduper expensive waterproof coat and he did everything in his power to remove it! 😂

What on earth has happened to dogs just getting wet? Coats/boots etc - it's all a bit crazy! It's a dog not a child
