No more Wilko treats...what now?

DDog has been getting treats from Wilko...the ones that are dried duck or chicken etc, which he likes. Wilko are now going belly-up, so I have a problem.

A huge number of the packs of treats that I pick up have so many ingredients that they would be regarded as ultra-processed if they were intended for humans

Any recommendations for treats that are entirely (or very largely) 'real' ingredients?

Thanks

I live near a reasonably small Tesco (not an express but not a big superstore either) and they sell dried meat treats as well as the more unhealthy stuff.

You can get plain meat treats from big stores like Pets at Home too.

If there’s an Iceland or food warehouse near you, they sell these green packs of duck treats £5 a bag or 3 for £10. They’re soft and easily pull apart into smaller pieces.

Lidl do chicken/duck fillet treats, they're almost exactly the same as the Wilko ones.

TK Maxx sell great poo bags!

Yes I agree with Lidl duck fillet treats. DDog loves that as a bedtime treat.

I’m gutted about their dog poo bags and have yet to find an alternative as good as their own brand red ones.

You got a semi chem nearby? They sell the best bags in our town. Dh also rates Poundland ones, I've not used them myself but apparently they're nice and thick.

My 12yo convinced me to make our own dog treats after I was concerned about the greedy buggers gagging on wolfing down biscuits. So the spoilt wee shit gets banana, peanut butter egg biscuits and sweet potato, carrot, broccoli, oats and egg biscuits.

cat gets bog standard dreamies...

I buy these. Some of my dogs are huge and these bags are big and strong enough to cope!

You can buy them unscented. Maybe it's me but I can't really smell the lavender.
