Recently adopted a retired greyhound who is 3.Currently in anglesey Wales with her .The accommodation is amazing but no nearby walkable dog routes so had to walk on county road so morning/evening poo walk.
Looking for somewhere with enclosed garden with grass but near things like dog friendly attraction or beaches?
Accommodation recommendations welcome 🙏

We’ve found the North Pennines and Northumberland to be very dog friendly. County Durham too. Most English Heritage sites allow dogs, some let them in the museum areas too. Can’t recommend a particular company as I look for Air BnB properties and double check they have enclosed gardens etc. Alston, Brampton etc.
In Cumbria we have used https://toddandgunncottageswasdale.co.uk/. Gosforth and Santon Bridge have lots of walks straight from the door and Seascale beach is a short car drive away.

North Norfolk. The last two years we've stayed in Sea Palling or nearby and rented a cottage through East Ruston Cottages who specialise in really dog friendly properties. The beaches are amazing, and from Sea Palling we could walk for miles and miles and miles on the beach with no road at all and loads of dog friendly places to go.

The Lake District is super dog friendly - no recommendations for accommodation as we live here but it's wouldn't be hard to find a dog friendly cottage or caravan with a secure grassy area for a dog.

northumberland is dog friendly eg round Bamburgh/Seahouses. In fact it felt like we were the only people without a dog. They were everywhere!

We’ve been to Bembridge in the Isle of Wight twice, dog friendly beach all year, most pubs dog friendly. Norfolk is very nice. We’re off to The New Forest today, not far from Bournemouth.

Another vote for Northumberland; we just holidayed there and it was dog heaven - so many well behaved pooches everywhere, and generally welcome in shops, pubs etc. Beautiful countryside and incredible beaches.

We are off to Bamburgh with our dog today for a long weekend. I will report back once we are there.

Somerset is another option, every non food shop and all the pubs bar Wetherspoons let dogs in, walks on the beach, we have a huge grassy field (ex golf course) ideal as no animals. All the towns are like this. Cant recommend a cottage but there's rooms above our pub that are dog friendly, they even offer dog food from our local independent pet shop

Calderdale! More interconnected footpaths than anywhere in the country (including the lakes and peaks) and bloody everywhere in hebden bridge is dog friendly

We had a lovely holiday staying in Seahouses. Rented a lovely house with an enclosed garden. Stayed in many places in the lakes. Perfect place for dog walking when you are out of the towns and heading for the hills.
