I’m looking for a puppy and would like one with the following characteristics

-hypoallergenic (some kind of poodle ?)
-small breed
-good calm temperament
-doesn’t need lots of exercise
-no shedding/as minimal ‘dog’ smell as possible
-easy to train
-good with children

Can anyone advise ? Also where do I find reputable breeders as I want to avoid anything like gumtree etc obviously and to go to somewhere that isn’t a puppy farm
Thankyou !

Cavalier King Charles or a Cavapoo could be a good fit

Are you confusing hypoallergenic with shedding? There's no such thing as hypoallergenic dogs, it was said when all the mixing of the poodles came around to encourage selling.

So you def want to stay away from big breeds, collies, spaniels, cockers, staffys. I say that as someone who works at a boarding kennels. 😂

What about dashound/sausage dog or a westie?

Ok so no dog is truely hypoallergenic, no dog is a true no shedder although some shed very little and all dogs stink unless you take them to a groomer every week. Most dogs that do not need much exercise don’t fit into the above categories at all. I think your best fit would probably be a Yorkshire terrier. It has hair not fur, won’t need too much tiring out and are friendly if trained well from puppies.

Maltese, Shih Tzu, Llasa Apso, Bichon Frise, Miniature Poodle, Tibetan Terrier, Westie, Yorkie. Crosses such as Maltipoo. We have a zuchon (bichon x shih tzu) that would tick all of your boxes and is just the perfect dog (for us). If you live in the NW I can PM the details of a good breeder

Yorkshire terrier

They are all the things you describe.
