Home Boarding inspection

I've applied to my local council for a licence to offer dog boarding.

They have confirmed they've received my application and say they'll be visiting my home for an inspection within 14 days.

What can I expect? What can I show for my best chances of obtaining a licence?

I've read all the information they provide but hoped for real life advice. Thanks!

You have to comply with all the Councils regulations - thats it really.

So check all the info and make sure that it is in place - if it is not you will not get the licence.

Not quite the same thing, but I have been through an inspection with environmental health for food hygiene.

I found them to be very fair, and also to be realistic about the changes that can be made to a building - I'm sure I got a bit of leeway because I was renting at the last inspection.

I also got a few questions along the lines of "what would you do if..."

Do you need paperwork (risk assessments etc) for dog boarding? Have that in tip top shape.

It seems they have to pick you up on something though - there's no such thing as a flawless inspection!

I'm using a buisness coach when I do mine later this year . There's a few on the fb groups who you can buy the paperwork from and they guide you on the home set up
