Dragons Den Pure pet food

If your dog has pure pet food, how are they getting on with it?
I’m finding the consistency isn’t any different to raw feeding and I like the fact that I can roll it in balls to hand feed for training, unlike raw,

Ddog had some issues and the vet really wanted me to come away from raw so I’m hoping pure is a good balance.

only finished the transition period and their customer service and keep in touch emails have been welcomed. Poos look ok and no trumps as of yet.
I’m hoping this is a good choice/compromise?

My dogs got bored of it really quickly. We had 3 varieties. A shame as I liked the concept, but I think the texture was really off-putting.

That’s a shame, we have only had salmon so far and turkey to try next.

I really like the fact I can make it up, roll it in balls and offer as training treats through the day. We did have an issue with him wolfing his food down and then being a bit sick through the day which I put down to over feeding in one sitting

I'm on my first week of Pure with my fussy Jack Russell. She likes it so far, and I'm hoping she doesn't get bored of it. Haven't tried rolling into balls yet though. We have the salmon and chicken and I've ordered duck and herring to come next week. Not sure whether swapping flavours about are a good thing or not really?

How are you getting on. My boy is still loving it. I hadn’t thought about not mixing different flavours, I have been with no issues.

I don't have any experience with Pure, but I have moved my 3 year old Lab away from raw food. He's now on Burns complete dry food (the sensitive version), and is noticeably more energetic. No change is stool volume or consistency, and no additional wind.

We moved for a variety of reasons, however during my research, I discovered that there is no scientific evidence that raw is any more beneficial than any other type of complete food.

She doesn't always wolf it down straight away, and doesn't seem as keen on the herring one so I wont order that one again. She is eating it though, so I am trying to make sure she doesn't get too many treats or bits of our food so that she's hungry at meal times.

She likes the chicken and the duck one and will try turkey next

I'm going to give it a few months and assess I think. Pure is not raw either its dehydrated and you add warm water to it so it smells nice. No difference is looks or energy yet I don't think. How are you getting on? Is yours like kibble?

Yes, it is kibble like. You can add water to it to make a bit of gravy if preferred. He doesn't seem to need that though.

We moved away from raw for ease of being able to go away (camping / friends etc), and also to reduce the risk of cross contamination.

So far all good. It's been about 4 weeks or so now, so should be sufficient to be a good indicator of future. We went for the sensitive to ensure the transition was a success, and will probably try the normal when the sensitive runs out.

Also, I can allocate part of it for training too in order to keep control of his weight.
