Switching away from kibble - 10 year old lab

Our 10 year old lab has enjoyed millies wolfheart since he was a pup, but recently refusing to eat it. He is currently being investigated by the vet as suffering from repeated episodes of bilious vomitting which might be why he is off his kibble if his throat is tender. He will eat cooked chicken, but obviously that is not a complete food.

I am thinking of changing him to something softer to eat. Any recommendations? Preferrably chicken, white fish, grain free for seniors, can be delivered and wont completely break the bank!

Interesting! our 11 yo has recently refused Millie’s after being a lifelong devotee.
he is now eating Canagan senior chicken and it vanishes, although he doesn’t have breakfast until 2pm some days - his choice!

Wainwrights do a white fish wet food.
Or nature diet is a fantastic wet food that can be picked up pretty cheaply on Amazon

Should have been clearer - grain free, chicken free and white fish free - he is ok with salmon/trout. He is fine with cooked chicken, but chicken kibble makes him windy.

I dont think it is anything specific with millies as he was nearly at the end of two 14kg bags when it started (we usually mix countryside & salmon).

I give mine Nature's Harvest. They do a few grain free versions.
She gets on well with it after having really bad gastric issues.

I think more important than the food though is the supplements. She gets marshmallow root extract which is like a natural antacid. She gets clay and mud supplements at times as well as tree barks powder. They are all designed to coat the digestive tract and soak up extra acid.
Have a look on some natural health pet sites if you think it might help your dog.
Hope you find something that works.
