I met a couple with a dog in a shop the other day, the dog was called bill. Nearly made me laugh when his owner said it. 😂

I knew a couple with a dog called Malcolm. TBF, he was Swiss and she was from the US.

Another vote for Monty but short for Montmorency, the dog in "Three Men in a Boat", who is my favourite fictional dog.
He'd only be called by his full name when he was naughty.
So, never. But he'd be a secret Montmorency.
DH says Pickle though.

My dad has a dog just like this. He has a human name, but is such a pickle he is mostly known as "little bastard"

He has had two names so far but doesn't know either of them sadly. Has mostly been crated 24/7 and/or locked in the dark for most of his life.

The three most suggested names so far are all brilliant - and belong to a previous dog of mine, one of my Dad's, and one of my grandfather's dogs - so at least I know you are all very much on my wavelength and thank you all so much!

I will update with photos - now an anxious wait and all the visits etc before we can properly fall in love.
