Non-tearable dog bed

Hi,

A few might remember we had the 8 month old pup who was waking up continuously throughout the night. Well it actually got better and only wakes at about 5am which is still a killer. However, this week we let him upstairs to sleep in our room. (Some of you had said you do this). It's all going well, except he wants to be ON the bed, and with DH and I, it's not enough room. I'd like a dog bed for next to our bed, buuuuuttt our pup, bites holes in every bed we've bought. Tears holes and pulls out fluff.

Any recommendations? What kind of bed do you use upstairs if any.

Really tough toughie. Expensive but indestructible .

Is she crated? I would put vetbed in a crate if she is.

Tuffies. Expensive but worth it.

I'd probably go for crate and vetbed to keep contained so doesn't clamber on the bed in the middle of the night.

Raised beds like HiK9 are always popular with my dogs. You can get some with anti-chew edges to protect the fabric hammock but if your dog enjoys destuffing they may not find it interesting.

I think the problem is toilet control. Upstairs or downstairs he's weeing and pooing. So where as before I was having to get up to open the door- I though upstairs was a good idea. Now he doesn't walkie me up but it toileting by the kitchen door. Help I'm on my knees

I would restart the toilet training. Taking him out after playing and sleeping and eating and drinking plus every 30 mins or so. Much praise when he goes!
At night it sounds like your dog wants to be near you. In that case it’s easier to sleep downstairs to be near them but have easier access to outside for toilet breaks.
Dog training advice and support on FB is a great resource.

Tuffies. They are brilliant quality - you can get a "non chewable" Tuffie which we had for a while then sold (they retain a good % of their value for resale) and got a nest bed which is also very tough but looks a lot more comfortable for His Nibs and is easy to maintain/clean. They are £££ but I think worth it. Worth looking on eBay/gumtree or keeping an eye on Tuffies sale section.

Hmmmm. Thanks. Kind of hopes we were through that stage! No accidents during the day/evening just over night.

Maybe at night you’re sleeping through the signs pup wants to go out. Or the penny hasn’t dropped yet that it’s outside at night too. That FB group is brilliant. They have a book too.

I don't have Facebook. Book?
