What harness do you recommend?

I have a near year old golden retriever who still pulls a lot when it suits her (working on it!).

She's had a Perfect Fit harness but outgrown it and I was wondering what others recommend that isn't going to harm them? Or is Perfect Fit as good as it gets?

Perfect fit is a good place to start.

Is there a specific reason you do not like it?

i guess a Goldie will need to have the 40 size when full grown.

An alternative is ruffwear front range harness (bit more money)

You can get cheaper ones like tru love but in my opinion they dont fit the fuller chest dogs as well.

If she’s outgrown it you just buy more bits. There is a Facebook buy and swap group.

They’re as good as they get unless you get one made which I have in the past for an awkward crossbreed before the modular fit system came out.

I was also going to say perfect fit and swap the bits!!!

Tellington Ttouch harness from Tilley farm Shop. Super light and options for lead attachment with two sets of clips if you don’t want to put anything over the dogs head. Highly recommend.

It's not that I don't like it but as I thought I would need to replace I wondered what else was out there.

I do feel quite loyal to the brand as they make them in the town I live in :-)

Bully Billows. Superb quality, not the cheapest but believe me - they think of everything.

I have never used perfect fit so know nothing against them. Our collie has a dog Copenhagen which has been brilliant, very comfortable, nice big chest plate if she pulls, front and back clips and she can't wriggle out of it (and she's really wriggly). Only good if your dog is happy with something going over its head but wd recommend.

Came on here to suggest perfect fit harnesses!

Another vote for perfect fit - it's the only harness I've ever found that works for my odd-shaped terrier (who hates harnesses that go over her head).

My other dog has a Ruffwear Front Range which I also rate.

If she is pulling, try a 2 D-ring dog harness coupled with a double ended dog lead. This is what I use with my German Shepherd www.dfordog.co.uk/red-dingo-padded-dog-harness-grey.html and I can't image now how I coped before. Having control over their forward movement is amazing.
