How much would you pay?

For boarding your dog, per night, in a home environment (not in a kennels or crate but a home).

Your dog would have access to 2 acres of secure garden, in a fully insured and licenced home. Lots of woodland walks, and they would always have human company and never be left.

You'd be sent regular updates. Your dog's feeding and exercise routine would be followed; the dog/s would be cared for by a loving, caring experienced dog owner.

And also, how far would you be willing to travel for a home boarding like this?

We pay £30 for exceptional care in a similar part of the country to you. Home boarding. Varied walks etc. We only travel 15 minutes but I would travel 45 minutes if we had to.

I pay £20 per night for my boarder and her service is very similar to what you are proposing. I consider myself very lucky though to have found her and that her prices are so reasonable. I would pay more.

My usual dog sitter charged £13 a night. She's retired last year. Another one I use charges £15 a night. But another one I was looking at charged £25 a night.

I'm the wrong person to ask as I have a dog that's a bit "special" in the behaviour and has a long list of requirements, and I'm lucky enough to have family who happy care for him.

But I would be looking at what your local competitors offer and use that as a baseline. You could consider a USP; for instance there's one near me that only takes little dogs.

@AndyandLance can you pm me details? I am looking for somewhere for my dog and am happy to travel to find the right place

I would pay £25-30 a night. I have a lady who comes to me and looks after other animals too who charges £50.
