We were using butternut and tails but they became too pricey and dog wasn't eating it as happily or clearing his dish
Since tried:
Forth glade
Wolf worthy
Couple other dried samples
Pure (the one you reconstitute with warm water)
Now on Bella and duke and he's turning nose up. Likes it day one but walked away tonight then stole friend's dog's food (Aldi grain free biscuits ) when we went tonight, like he'd never eaten ! But when I bought it , wouldn't eat it.
Could he be poorly or just a fusspot
Any recommendations for a fussy dog? Thanks !

Have you tried feeding less than the recommended amount and just going with the same food for a couple of weeks?

Just wondering how many snacks/treats they have too?

My dog loves Nature diet , and for the quality it’s cheap . Bella and Duke did a door to door sales thing in my area and there seems to be loads being given away on FB where the dogs don’t like it .

Do you mean so he has longer without different options? The wolf worthy was loved for about 4 days but then just stopped eating it but was barking at us for food- he has a funny little sharp short "hungry" bark he does when he wants food- both if we are eating sometimes or if he goes to his bowl, it's empty and he's hungry. We have stuck to rough mealtimes but E.g. if it's got to 6.30 not 6 for his evening one, he'll remind us.

Yes, that's exactly what I mean Wink

We make our own dog food for our three. And we have not looked back. We have two fussy huskies and a pitbull/bulldog who will eat anything. Since we switched to home-made food a few years ago they always eat everything and their health is better. Our pitbull/bulldog had the common problem that his breeds have with very smelly gas. But with homemade food he doesn’t have any gas at all now. It’s very simple to make and we use the same base all the time but change the meat/fish component for variety.

I went round and round in circles with mine when he was a pup. We tried all sorts of wet food, dry food, raw, home cooked. It was a nightmare. He finally settled on a combination of Royal Canin dry, Lily’s kitchen wet, and home cooked, but not all at once !
I always think that the best food is a combination of what they will eat and what you can afford.

It's worth a try. I suppose I'm feeling like he's a child who won't eat. His B&d is still there this morning uneaten.
He loved some Butchers wet in a tray I got at Tesco as a back up but the smell of his trumps and soft poo ? Vile ! He's snoring away now , seemingly still full of our friend's dog food !

That's interesting because Butchers and Chappie are often recommended by vets for DDogs with sensitive tummies.

Stop leaving his food down for him.

This doesn't work for all dogs, but it's the advice we got from our breeder when our dog went through a fussy phase and it worked miracles.

Pick set meal times and pick a food you know your dog likes and has eaten in the past.
Put the food down without a fuss, leave it for twenty minutes, then remove it again (even if it's not been touched).
No treats or snacks in between meals.
Repeat at every mealtime. They should learn that that's all they're getting offered and eat it.

It won't work for everyone but it's worth a try as it really worked wonders with ours and he's never refused a meal since. It took 2 days for him to eat properly again.

Have you had teeth checked?

Great advice from thelobster.
