Lead walking ....Dog not walking if she doesn't want to...

So if the dog doesn't want to go a particularly way on the lead she'll dig her paws in and not move. Ended up picking her up today as needed to get across the road and home from in laws...and she wasn't ready to leave.

MIL has ended up carrying her home before now when she's been dropped off to walk across park home and she just won't go.

If there's 2 people she'll go as one can run ahead and she'll follow.

She's 2.5, mostly walked off lead - it's lead walking where she can just be stubborn as anything.

Mine absolutely plants himself on the way home from a walk. Because he wants to carry on having fun, even if he has had the most enriching walk he’s ever had.

I like that he appears to have an opinion on what he wants to do. It’s frustrating at times but I actually think that a dog that is compliant 100 percent of the time would make me feel too controlling. But I may be a bit odd.

Lurcher ( who I walk for Cinnamon Trust, & luffs me but hates heavy rain) & neighbour's Romanian street dog who looks like a true pureblood Heinz 57 (when neighbour went to Centreparks for 5 days): they both have been very reluctant to do walks sometimes. I am not thinking it's a breed specific trait to sometimes not want to walk. Dogs have a lot of personality, & that includes when they just can't be arsed.

I was wondering if she was a herding breed when you said that it happens when she wants everyone together, as I had this with my collie X. If one family member broke away from ‘the flock’ she found it very difficult.
But I see yours is a cockerpoo, and I wouldn’t have put that as one of their traits.
