Ideally in Essex or Suffolk but if any do video calls then happy to work with someone outside of my area?
Its for our rescue. We adopted him 5 weeks ago. He’s lovely and very friendly but we have some issues with him urinating a lot in the house, excessive barking and chewing absolutely everything in the house.
We know these are all signs of anxiety. He is 2 and was crated for 12 hours a day from the age of 7 week until about 12 months old. He was never walked or even taken out of the original owners flat! He and been taken to the rescue, then rehomed and returned 3 months late (the adopters couldn’t handle his anxiety and destructive behaviour), returned to the rescue and then adopted by us. No wonder he’s anxious poor mite.
Hopefully, over time he will realise this is his forever home and we won’t let him down but to help his anxiety and my bank balance (I’m going though endless chew toys, he’s torn up 2 living room throws, several pillows and my teen dd’s Nike Airforces!), I need to speak with a behaviourist to see what we can do to help him.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
