If you're worried about your pet's health, please speak to a vet or qualified professional.

I’m sure I’m being paranoid but I’d like to be told…

Took mini dachshund to vets for boosters and we were sat in waiting room. A dog comes out with vet and handed to owner, said the chemo had gone well but don’t let the dog lick you, don’t touch dogs bodily fluids etc.

Then this dog came bouncing towards mine and licked his nose. When I went in to see a different vet I mentioned it but she said that would be to protect the poorly dog, mine would be fine. But I know chemo drugs stay in bodily fluids and my common sense says it won’t have been much and my dog will be fine.

I’m being daft aren’t I?

I’vr had chemo and your dog will be fine! The owner will need to stop their dog licking and eating what they shouldn’t,so don’t worry

There's a big difference between one lick and multiple licks xmultiple times xmultiple days.

Its not the lick, its the amount. Your dog will be fine.

Thank you both so much.

I have a million and one things going on at the moment and my brain decided this is the bridge too far! I honestly know I’m being stupid, I just needed to be told!

Thank you again!
