Travelling home with new puppy

Hi All,

When you brought your new puppy home in a car (however long ago), where did you put it? In your arms/lap? In a crate (back seat or boot of estate car)?

It's been a very long time since I've brought a puppy home and I'm just wondering how people do it.

On my knees (front passenger seat) with a cushion, and a cushion in the footwell. About a 45 min journey, she was fine.

Harness with seatbelt. She curled up inside a fluffy, round bed and slept the 30min journey.

I'd read to take an old towel and kitchen roll etc incase they vomit or get scared and get diarrhoea. Luckily, mine is fine in the car, but a previous dog used to vomit.

A large cardboard box in the passenger seat footwell. Lined the box with puppy pads and put in a big snuggly blanket with mum's scent. It was a 3 hour journey and she was fine and slept most of it.
