The doghouse
Hoover V Dog hairs

My trusty Dyson is starting to lose the never ending battle against dog/cat hairs so I'm in the market for a replacement. Before I just blindly buy another Dyson I wanted to check if anybody has found the gold standard of hoovers to cope with pet hair?
Requirements-
mixture of carpets and wooden floors in the house so must switch between both easily.
Must be robust as it'll get used daily and we have 2 (shedding) dogs, a long haired cat and a grubby toddler.
I prefer an upright.
I don't the cylinder on the little battery powered ones would manage a full house clean so possibly not those.
Thanks in advance!

My Dyson cordless v11 animal beats my Henry corded hands down for picking up cat and dog fur out of the rugs. I have done comparisons! I held out for ages about getting another Dyson (previous one was ancient and I didn't want to spend a fortune) but I can honestly say it's brilliant. Can just wizz round in minutes and it sucks up all the fur and dust (that others leave behind).

Can you do a whole house with it? The cylinder looks tiny!

I am on my third Miele Cat and Dog. They last about twelve years in a four-bedroom house. Cylinder but brilliant for dog hair. When I bought it, it was tested against a Dyson and was better.
I’ve not heard if this one so will look at it, thank you!

We have two Eufy robot hoovers - one upstairs, one down. Absolute game changers.
They cope with a husky/malamute cross who blows her coat, a Romanian rescue who also blows her coat and until recently we also had a long haired cat. They cope with those, two humans and a house where the windows are open 24/7 just fine.
Our actual hoover is an industrial version of a Henry - far more powerful, far more effective, slightly cheaper and seems to negotiate moving better than Henry (who I fucking hated). It's also a wet/dry so can be used for spillages etc (just remove the filter first):

Sebo Felix Pet. I have had it for about 12 years. 2 labs. It uses bags - possibly 1 a month - and I replaced all the filters once a couple of years ago.
love it - as much as I could love a vacuum.
I have the SEBO Felix Rose and have no problems with it picking the pet hairs and moving from carpet to hard floors. Had mine for a good 3/4 years now and will never go back to a cordless or bagless Hoover. Most people haven't heard of SEBO but I highly recommend them.
