I love it when she's flat on her back snoring. It's such a safe happy sound from her.

The squishy wiggly tail when she first sees me in the morning, accompanied by the sneezy, snuffly kiss on the nose. Also SO adorable when she wants a treat, she sits looking at me then makes little howling noises looking at me so intensely, can't resist her. Never loved a little dog as much as I love her 😍

My dog really drools when I eat marmite on toast/crumpets. I always save him a teeny bit. He looks like he is in heaven when he eats it!😁

When DDog thinks it’s dinner time he comes up and nudges is, and if that doesn’t work he then goes round the house nudging everything eg table, sofa, doors and then looks at us! He usually starts this an hour before his dinner, there is much nudging!

They're not mine, they're family dogs but they live in the next street and I walk them. With the girl, I think my favourite thing is how she thinks that having her harness on causes walks to happen. So not only does she go to request her harness at odd times, she does a sort of little dance we call 'put it on me' when you pick it up, doing little hops and putting her little legs in the position to jump into it. (They're corgis so they are very little legs). The boy is an endlessly complicated being. He's some sort of highly-strung dog genius and if he were human he'd be an artist from the Romantic period. My favourite thing he does is probably his talking. Not barking. Talking. He pretty much has an entire vocabulary of expressive sounds, most of which tend to melodrama.

The deep, deep groan that rumbles all the way up from his tummy when I rub his ears. It sounds like he's in total bliss and it always makes me laugh.

When I take her out of the bath and wrap her in a really big towel and I sit on the loo (lid down) and we have a few minutes of me just cuddling her close and rub her dry. She's really still and let's me do it and it's just a sweet intimate moment...... then I let her back down on the floor and the zoomies start !

Loads of things but this is my first summer with my boy and I'm loving teaching him about the dog paddling pool. He realised he likes me cupping water out of it and sprinkling it over him when it's hot, he stands completely still and I pause and he doesn't move away .

And today he found out what fun getting in and bobbing for sausages was!

I just love him finding new things that are fun (retired greyhound )

Oh and I was watering the garden this evening and he was lying on the lawn and at one point I looked at him and he was looking at me with absolute adoration.

It's been hard work and it's taken time for me to 'get' the dog joy but little things he does just bring me such happiness
