Dog friendly holiday cottage recommendations

Want to start planning an Autumn holiday, not got any thoughts on where to go yet but looking for recommendations of dog friendly cottages.

Not just places that allow dogs, but are actually dog friendly. I don't want to go somewhere where dogs aren't allowed in the bedrooms or on the sofa with a throw. Also a properly enclosed garden is essential.

Although many of the sites have pet filter options they don't really distinguish between dog friendly and dog tolerant so if anyone has any personal recommendations that would be great.

I know of East Ruston cottages in Norfolk so wondering if there are similar sites for other places in the UK too.

Corfe and Purbeck holidays. Most of the cottages are dog friendly with safe enclosed gardens. Great dog walks and very dog friendly village pubs. We've been using them for 10 years and just home from another great week.

I've really struggled to find any that are properly enclosed. First day in a gorgeous cottage in the peak district our young lab jumped over the lowish wall into a field and had a great romp around with me yelling at her to come back. She tried to get back in over a higher bit of wall that also had barbed wire. I had to leap over and manhandle her back in before she injured herself.

Since I first posted we found somewhere for a week in Devon - house was great, small garden, not super secure, i.e. 4ft fencing but enough that we could let out for wees etc. without being on a lead. That one was last minute as we were waiting for a second season before we could book. Downside was no walks from the front door without dicing death on narrow lanes.

We've also had a long weekend at a Pack Holidays place in Norfolk, that was great as could just leave patio doors open exactly as we would at home with no issue. Downside is I didn't find anywhere that served decent coffee 😀

Would highly recommend Bolehill Cottages near Bakewell, peak district. We recently went with two collies and it's the most dog friendly place I've been. They have 2 dog friendly fields, one a big paddock enclosed by rustic stone walls about 4ft high and a 'little legs paddock' which is regularly mowed short and is small but ideal for smaller dogs. They provide a dog bed, treats and bowls for you on arrival, there are dog poo bins around the site and they have a really comprehensive website section and handbook in the cottage of dog friendly places to go out with them. We found the area itself full of nice walks and dog friendly pubs and places to go out during the day. Do check their website as some of the Cottages are not dog friendly but we loved the one we stayed in called sheepfold cottage.
