Is lose of appetite a sign of going into season?

DPup is 8.5 months so I'm thinking her first season likely to be any time now. The last few days she's not really shown much interest in her food (but eats it eventually). She's usually a bit a of a greedy guts. Otherwise seems fine, had her first rabbit ear yesterday as a treat and she thought it was Christmas Grin
So I'm wondering if the change on appetite particularly for her breakfast is a sign she is about to be in season? Will be keeping a close eye on her of course. Any advice please?

Yes, most definitely.

Appetites do change as they grow but I've never known a bitch not lose their appetite when their season was due.

Thank you, do you think we need to keep her on the lead atm then?

I would just to be on the safe side :) you could take her to the vet after the weekend and ask for sure - they'll be able to tell you if they think she's going into season.

It can be, but I'd also take her to the vet's, just to be sure she isn't coming down with something, or hasn't picke something up

Thank you both. Have kept a close eye on her today. No vomiting, normal poo, she ate a bit better this evening and seemed quite happy pottering about with us this afternoon and has picked up toys to play with as normal. She was panting a lot at one point when she hadn't been running but it did get warm this afternoon, so maybe just feeling the heat more than usual. Just put her to bed and she seems ok again now 🤞

We have a 1 yr old Whippet female, {Born 5th April 2021}
I have been anxiously looking at her rear end for signs of ''Season'', and I noticed a certain ''Puffiness'' on each side of her privates...a week later, a tiny drop of reddish brown liquid was appearing..This is definitely a Season beginning.

We are now at Day 7, and it is not much fun for her, as she can't run and play with her friends.

She sees her female friends {also in season, but at different stages of theirs} but at the moment , they have to be on their leads outdoors which is very unexciting.
