Fostering a lurcher next week - any advice?

Have been on the fostering list for a dog for a little while now (have young children so it’s hard to get a dog!). A gorgeous lurcher will be coming to us next week. Very excited, house and spare room all prepared, but I’ve never cared for this breed before. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Yes be wary of their fine skin if in a wood say/brambles/other dogs (though rarely) had one badly ripped on his back that took all the vet's skill to stitch. They do not have a good layer of coat for protection either. It is movement they go for, mine would totally not see a cat when it was sat on a gate post just no interest or understanding what it was! Love them to bits. Enjoy.

When ours were in kennels 1 ddog ripped the side of another's with a tooth. The cone of shame wasn't well received..
Ddog slept on the pillow next to me and dh slept on a 2 seater sofa.
He is 6'4..
