Hi
Don't know if I'm missing something....? ?
I've been seeing my partner now for six months and because she still has her son living at home , her requires a lot of support, we spend most weekends at her home .....
She has a small dog , he's a Terrier , the first couple of weekends I stayed he was in the bedroom now he's in all the time and he likes to sleep on the bed ....! ! Now the dog has a bit of a temper and if disturbed has a tendency to snap or bite ...... I have see him on at least 5 occasions snap at my partner when she tries to move him I also found out that he's bitten her top lip which required a couple of stitches..😳
Now the dog has started to try and sleep on the pillows between us or on the duvet about shoulder height ......😤 now I've said NO ! ! as if I was to more in my sleep I'm sure I would get bitten.....🥲 she says I'm just making to much of it and it's his home too ......
She's a lovely lady...... but really am I being unreasonable......🤔 I don't think so I think he should be outside the room in his own bed

Please help

Bottom of bed at a push or a basket in the room would be better, but not between pillows. Far too much risk there, plus it's pretty gross, and I say that as someone with a snoring Lurcher hogging the duvet at my feet.

It's not your house or your dog so it's really not your decision to make, no matter how daft you think she's being.

My dog sleeps in the bed and has done since he was a puppy - and that's not something I would change for a boyfriend who doesn't even live with me.

Having said all that, I agree that the dogs' behaviour sounds totally inappropriate and unpleasant but I don't think the right way to address it is to tell her to kick her dog out of the bed.

I wouldn’t like it, it sounds dangerous and unhygienic BUT it’s her house so her choice.
You can ask her to put the dog more suitable but if it’s used to being on the bed it will probably bark or whine all night
