Does anyone have positive experiences with Trusted Housesitter?

We have an elderly dog who is a dream and a younger dog who is the opposite, he's very reactive to other dogs, would escape if a door was left open and pulls like a train on a lead/can never be let off. They both however love people & are very sociable and welcoming to people coming into the house so I'm wondering if Trusted Housesitters would work or is my reactive dog too much of an ask? Does anyone have experience with using them, if so was it good or bad? TIA

Personally I would find a dog walker who also offers house sitting. You want someone who has experience and knowledge with reactive dogs.

One bad experience and one really good. We’ve decided to persevere with it and hope that the first was bad luck.
We have a nervous rescue who couldn’t cope with being cared for anywhere but in our home.
The last Trustedhousesitters were so fabulous so on that basis I would recommend giving them a go. The first disastrous experience was about the unreliability of the house sitter and not how he cared for the dog itself.

You can be very specific regarding your pets needs and find someone who is experienced with dogs who have issues.

I was a 'TrustedHousesitter' for many summers and loved it. We looked after lovely dogs, a few with some particular needs like yours, and had no problems. The owners always left clear instructions and I think you'll find sitters will follow them to the letter, as they get reviewed too. We had lots of Skype chats with our hosts beforehand and usually turned up the day before they left, so that we could meet the dogs, the house and local walks etc.
I know that the owners we worked with (two of whom we visited a few years in a row) said they had many good offers and it was difficult to choose from. We had a couple of kids, so some wanted kids so they would play with their dogs, others preferred sitters without.
Overall, I found TrustedHousesitters to be a really nice community of dog and animal lovers. We were living abroad, so it gave us a chance to get our doggy-fix, as we couldn't own a dog when overseas.
Now we are back in the UK, and about to get our own dog, I'll definitely use them in the future if needed.
