How much growth does an 8 mth GSD have left to do?

We're absolutely fine with big dogs but just curious as to how much bigger the rescue pup we get today might get.

She's a GSD cross so obvs it's harder to tell because we don't know what she's crossed with (possibly a hunting type breed like a pointer as they're very common where she's from and she's a lot leggier and slimmer than a pure GSD).

She's already quite big...has just had her first season.

Is she likely to grow a lot more or will growth slow down now?

Maybe order a bigger couch just in case? We have a saluki /deerhound. She still thinks she can fit on the arm of the sofa. . She def can't.. She is 2.

From my experience, but only with lurcher type puppies, is that by 8 months and first season especially they don't have a huge amount more growing to do. My fosters typically only 2" more in height/length overall I'd say from 8m on.
You could look up a growth chart for GSDs -the one I just found said 87% grown at 8m

IME, height-wise larger dogs seem to top out at about 8-10 months, with most of their growing done before that. What they do after that is pile on muscle, so a dog who weighed 28kg at 8 months weighs 34kg a year later.

The one we had had nearly her full height at 8 months but she gained a lot more muscle later. She was a real skinny minnie until she was about 18 months no matter how much we fed her. She was like a leggy deer. The vet said a lot of them are like that.
