Puppy and cat issues

Hello,
My 7 month old cocker spaniel (show type if relevan) and my cat (6 years) do not get on and their relationship is getting progressively worse.
Ideally, I would want the dog to ignore the cat as I dont think the cat will ever want any kind of friendship with her. Initially my puppy was interested in the cat in a friendly way but the cat is scared of her and now the puppy is older she chases and barks at her.
I hate this as I dont want the cat to be distressed. We try to seperate them as much as possible to prevent this - cat has places the puppy can't go but it is inevitable that their paths cross as the cat wouldn't be able to leave the house otherwise.
Is it too late to be able to do anything about this? I feel i have gone abiut it all wrong. Not sure what to do now. Can anyone help? Thank you.

Consider portion size. Over the years portion sizes have increased greatly, causing us to consume unnecessary calories. People have adapted to eating much bigger portions, and consequently don't feel fuller as a result. A good way to decrease how much you eat is simply by serving your food on a smaller plate. This deceives you into thinking you are eating just as much as you would on a larger plate. That being said, some portions of food are ok to super size, such as fruits and vegetables!

Nutrition during pregnancy has special requirements to ensure that your baby is as healthy as possible. Focusing on iron-rich foods will make sure that your developing baby will have an adequate oxygen supply during development. Iron-rich foods can also help prevent premature delivery. Good sources of iron include lean meat, chicken and fish.

Firm no and remove ddog to the kitchen...
We have a dkitten and 1 ddog isn't willing to leave her be just yet. Ddog is 25 kg but still gets removed.!!

Thank you! I'll try that.
