Is it safe?
They apparently get the same dosage as a big Great Dane puppy?!
Is that true??
It seems crazy!

I am also reading that vaccinations should be given at 12 weeks for best effectiveness, think the article was by Dr Jean Dodds so as I understand, a ‘reputable’ and knowledgeable individual, not 8 weeks as the maternal antibodies are still active up to 12 weeks?

Also, did anyone here not give the leptospirosis?

I have a tiny dog. The disease and medical interventions she'd have to suffer if she caught a disease she could have been vaccinated against are far more dangerous than any vaccine could be. At my last vaccination the vet had just had to go through seeing 3 puppies die from parvovirus. It's a hideous way to die.

Please don't underestimate illness in a small dog. My tiny dog gets very ill very fast so often needs faster and more aggressive intervention than a large dog. Her last stomach bug took over a week to shift and she was throwing up water. It was scary.

After their first jabs and boosters you can test for immunity before doing the annual ones.
