Recommend me your retractable leads

Button release for strong dogs who pull.

Any recommendations?

My mum had an accident with her retractable lead a few days ago. Her shihtzu lunged after another dog and she thought she'd got the brake on but obviously hadn't so grabbed the tape and it sliced right through her finger.

I've made her get rid.

Retractable leads are dangerous. I think they only really work with very old, slow, dogs (King Charles spaniels for example), who would be just as happy on a normal lead.

Fwiw long lines are pretty commonplace here when people are teaching puppies recall.

With a strong dog that pulls I would use a gentle leader collar and lead, which is actually much shorter than a normal lead. Worked a treat with my BIL’s Dalmatian.

I would not recommend a retractable lead-think dangerous for both ppl and dog
