My pup has got into a pizza box which was by the back door, ready for the bin and scoffed loads of crustsShock
She only has proper food and a few biscuits, and now she’s munched pizza crust. Will it make her ill? Am v worried. She is fine so far.

In the he past I’ve had dogs that have scoffed an entire Christmas dinner, drank a chip pan of fat, eaten raw potatoes, eaten a whole fruit cake and probably devoured things I would rather forget when out on walks.
I’m pretty sure a few pizza crusts won’t do any harm.

Mine stole an entire chicken carcass off the side once......... vet wasn't remotely worried and just said give him bread to mop up the fat. He had the shits for days afterwards as the fat went through him.

I suffered far more than the bloody dog as I had to try and bag the shit all up.......

My dog loves pizza crusts!

It's only the same as a crunchy biscuit. Your dog will eat far worse and survive.

Mine eats all sorts - usually a bit of whatever is on my plate, and he regards it as his right to lick clean food trays once they've been scraped (fish pie ready meal, meat tray, that sort of thing). Tonight he had some broccoli, last night he had a morsel of Stilton on a cracker and the night before that he had some pizza crusts. He still eats good quality dog food as the bulk of his diet.

Tbh I think a bit of variety in their diet is good for them - certainly better than dogs who eat the same brand and flavour relentlessly for years at a time. It's no wonder those dogs' stomachs can't cope when they eat something different and are labelled as having a sensitive stomach.

Years ago I had a lovely little Scottie who was terminally ill with liver disease. Getting him to take tablets was a mission until one night I used the leftover pizza crust from a takeaway. Game changer.

Current Laird of the Manor eats Lily's Kitchen for the most part but is always happy to clean out empty yoghurt pots, ice cream tubs and leftover chips etc. He's also extremely partial to peas and loves nothing more than a handful in his food. By far his favourite is prawn crackers and I'll swear he's deaf to any recall but can hear the crunch of a prawn cracker at half a mile.

Pizza and toast crusts are Ddog's very favourite much preferred to any posh treats.

He will be fine, bit too salty to be eaten on a regular basis but a one off won't hurt.

Thanks so much everyone! I feel a bit like how I felt when I was weaning my eldest!
