When does the effect of poor socialisation show?

We ended up getting a lockdown puppy (had been planning and on waiting lists for ages/since just before covid and one ended up being available in January so we took her even though the timing wasn’t ideal due to lockdown).
We did our best with socialisation but without puppy classes and visitors to the house we couldn’t do quite as much as with previous dogs. However she has been really well behaved so far-no issues with other dogs or strangers/visitors. Have we just been lucky? She is just over 6 months.
Is it likely that we will see the effects of the lack of early socialisation in the next few months as she becomes a teenager-is she likely to suddenly become scared of strangers or other dogs when she’s been fine so far? We will continue taking her places now everything has opened up

My pup didn’t get much socialisation due to lockdown so I was really worried too. However there was no reason to worry at all, just keep socialising her as much as possible now.

The most annoying answer ever it depends Smile

Some dogs are bomb proof whatever you do to them, good breeding, excellent socialisation by the breeder before you even get the puppy home and they are set up for life.

Many dogs enter a fear stage anytime between 6 months and 14 months and this can be a time that some issues may arise.

Also you may have socialised to things your dog is still experiencing but in the future they meet something they have not had experience of and then they react then.

Fingers crossed though.
