Does anyone have any recommendations for video camera to watch puppy if we have to leave it for a short period. It doesn't need to be anything flash or expensive, just basic that I can check in using my phone! Thanks

How old? You’re better leaving them in a playpen/crate (otherwise then can cause untold destruction!)

She's 16 weeks at mo. Would only be an hour max while I do food shop or go dentist as DH due back to work end of June so she'd be 20 weeks by then. She does have a crate and I've tested a few times doing school run leaving her in the crate while DH is working in another room, sometimes she's fine but other times she barks so I'd like to be able to check she's settled in the crate and not barking on the odd occasion I have to leave her! Have tried kongs, toys, my slipper etc but I think separation anxiety is starting to kick in!

Ezviz from Argos are great.

Separation anxiety will set in if you leave a young pup to get upset. You can’t leave them longer than they are happy with.

We have a Yi camera which I bought from Amazon

@Wolfiefan that's what I'm worried about. Is there a specific age it kicks in like with babies? As she used to be fine if I left the room to pop up stairs etc but now she sits at the door and pines for me - even if DH is still in the room with her!!! She has become my shadow which whilst it's sweet, it's obviously not good long term for her to become so clingy that she can't even be left for few mins.

@Aria20 there is a brilliant FB group called Dog Training Advice and Support. They have a great file on separation anxiety.
It’s normal for a puppy to want to be with you. If you can make that happen then they are much less likely to end up with separation anxiety. If they potter around after you they eventually realise it’s quite boring! And as they age they grow In confidence.
Good luck!
