Dog pushchairs

Can't believe I'm asking this as I would have previously (and wrongly ) thought owners were bonkers

Our old girl still loves to come out with us but she can't manage to walk like she used to, in terms of distance, and we like to walk everywhere we can...

Has anyone any experience of managing an older dog, a pushchair of some sort etc?

She's a cocker spaniel.

We have a Dutch Doggy Ride, we originally got it for the back of hubbys bike and our Westie loved it. He just stood all the time and let the wind blow past him.
When he got older we got the parts to turn it into a push chair , what a huge difference it made. We could go out for longer walks and he used to start walking and then when he had had enough he would hop in and lie down. I have photos of him in the doggyride without the wheels on as he loved it and wanted to get in as soon as possible when we got it out.
There are cheaper ones but we have definitely had our moneys worth. We have kept it as we lost our westie recently and hubby says if we get a puppy we can use it so not to over walk it.

@Babs1937 thank you, and I'm sorry to hear you've lost your dog; very sad.

We don't cycle but if we did that looks great, and interesting to hear you found the pushchair useful.

Yes, I have one. Can’t remember the make as I’ve had it years. I use it for my little old Yorkie who has some arthritis if we’re planning on walking any distance as she gets tired before the others. I originally bought it for taking the dogs across muddy show fields without getting their floor trailing coats dirty . I also have a foggy sling for the little Yorkie like this, but your dog would be too heavy I’d expect.

@Darklane that sling would be perfect if she wasn't quite so heavy

The innopet sporty & Hercules are popular choices for larger dogs going off-road and fold up easier than many.

I also have an older doggyride one that can carry upto 50kg but with stroller converter which is good and is quite easy to pop wheels on/off for travelling or storage but have a metal bar that has to slot in for roof part which is fiddly so would love Hercules. Definitely look for one with decent wheels not plastic type and rotating front wheel if 3 wheeler, mine locked into fixed position once and it made steering such hard work when normally it's a breeze to push around.

I have one of these:

I have a very reactive Scottie and he's happier in that in crowded places. Not sure how big your cocker is, but if she's bigger than a scott then that design is probably going to be a bit on the small side for her. That said, for a cheap buggy it's been brilliant. DD uses it a lot for her sausage dog as well when eating out.
