Puppy only barks at my kids

I have 2 children ages 11 and 3 and last week we brought a puppy she's now 9 weeks old, she's been amazing for the most part, toilet trained (mostly),very chill and just a happy puppy BUT she is constantly barking at my children and ONLY my children, my youngest is scared of her because of it, when she starts trying to jump up him and barking at him he legs it behind me sobbing, I do separate them when this happens and I explain that she sees him as another puppy and wants to play but that's become futile he's weary and scared now. My 11 year old gets backed into a corner by her when she's barking at him and jumping up and trying to nip him so again I separate them. It's only the children she does this with no one and nothing else!! For what it's worth she will have her tail wagging the entire time, doesn't snarl or growl, I don't know if she's being aggressive/fearful/wanting to play.

Anyone have any ideas? Tips?

You need to separate them before this happens. TBH I wouldn’t have a 3 year old around a puppy at all.
Puppies jump up. Puppies bite. Barking could well be over excitement.

I'm really sorry for missing the point of the thread but how have you toilet trained at 9 weeks?!

My pup is 14 weeks and isn't even close to toilet training. It seems completely random. Most of the time he'll just pop a squat and pee/poop wherever he's standing and sometimes he'll go outside. I'm doing literally everything you're supposed to do and it's just not working?! Sad

@StormcloakNord I have no idea tbh we just take her out on the garden a hell of a lot and now she whines at the back door if she wants to go outside, she doesn't have any accidents at night either, we've taught her how to sit and lie down and give paw as well. It's the barking at the kids that's the only issue

She’s overexcited and wants to play. Keep separating them and, if she’s getting wild, enforce a nap.

@StormcloakNord - 12.5 weeks here and a long way off housetrained if that helps.

Tiny humans are just super exciting, they move so quickly and make such fun noises. When pup is jumping up, the kids need to stay still, turn their backs, ignore and be boring and quiet, as soon as all four paws are on the ground and pup is quiet, then a reward.

You do need to keep separating them and make the call before the pup starts getting over excited.

Start to teach the pup to settle and be calm around the kids, reward her when she sits or lies down nicely or takes herself to her bed when the kids are around. There’s more about settling here:
