Help with dog becoming anxious after attack

My 4 yr old cockatoo is an extremely friendly, well trained and sociable dog. About 3 weeks ago she was chased and pinned down by a husky while we were walking ( not injured). Last week she was attacked outside a cafe by a very small dog, while she was focussed on begging for bacon and we’ve recently had to manage new neighbours who have a very territorial pug who barks ferociously every time we go in the garden and she is out. Our dog had become quite anxious - I think all these things have contributed, and today she started barking, unprovoked at an Alsatian walking past us, who then knocked her over.

Any advice on how to move forward. I totally understand why she is behaving like this, and I want to increase her confidence. I’m not sure whether keeping her in the lead for a while would be a good idea, nor what to do about the neighbour’s dog ( they seem pretty hopeless). It feels recent enough to be able to turn things round, but if she carries on with the defensive barking, she is likely to get more negative reinforcement.

This is one of those situations where you need to see an APBC or CCAB accredited behaviourist.

They'll be able to assess your dog and give you the tools to help your dog regain confidence.

PS do see a behaviourist as soon as possible - don't let the behaviour become ingrained first
