14 month old rescue - peeing for England!

We have very recently (3 days ago) adopted a 14 month old chocolate lab. She is lovely, beautiful, VERY excitable but does settle well with us during the day, cuddles up and dozes on the sofa with us in the evening - all good. She is responding well to training - sit, down, roll, beg, stay. BUT! She is not house trained and is peeing a lot! I am letting her out hourly and she is still peeing in the house up to 2 times in an hour. She goes into a frantic frenzy at the sight/sound/smell of food and so I suspect that excitement or nervousness may be an issue. Does anyone have any words of wisdom for me. I am hoping that someone will say that this is reasonably normal in an untrained lab of her age! But I am starting to wonder if her apparent lack of bladder control is something I should get investigated. She is not spayed btw - not yet anyway!

You need to take it back to toilet training basics - every 15 minutes if she's awake, take her outside on the lead, stand around muttering your trigger word (I use business), and then praise like a crazy woman and give a treat if she toilets outside.

Has she been checked for a urinary tract infection?
Is she spayed?

Sorry missed the spay bit! It's actually good that she's not as early spaying can be a risk for incontinence in larger breed bitches

I'd definitely get her screened for an infection
Also could she be coming into season?

When those are ruled out I'd just focus on reinforcing calm quiet behaviour, and getting her settled

She came from a very, very good rescue and she had a full health screen with their vet. She is not showing any other signs of a UTI - she needs to pee, she does, she strolls on, no hovering for more to come out.

I am dreading that she could be coming onto heat, because I have a 2YO neutered male who has not lost the urge for lurv!

The rescue will spay her once she is settled, but did not want to do it before adoption because it was deemed best that she spent as short a time in the rescue kennels as possible.
