I love this time of year

The ground is drying up so no mud bath. Walking boots, not wellies.

The sun is out but it's not too hot to worry about the dog running about.

And to top it off about 40 deer ran a few feet in front of me (BiteyDog was too busy pestering me to play ball that he didn't notice )

It makes walks really enjoyable.

I'm absolutely loving our walks, our pup is now 19 months old, I've really not enjoyed the last year with him, he's been such hard work, dreadful recall and pulling on the lead have made him very difficult to take out but we're finally coming out the other side of it and to see him following commands and walking nicely on a long trailing line is heavenly, add the nice weather and drier mud into the mix and I've most definitely got a spring in my step!

I love end of mud season

I don't have a dog yet, she's coming home in six weeks. However, my lovely friend has two dogs and I have walked them with her five times a week since May last year (this is the main reason I am now getting one). It's been such a treat that the flooding of the railway track we walk down and the fields with more water than path are becoming a thing of the past. My special dog walking raincoat is becoming too warm!

Fortunately by the time my puppy is old enough to do a really long walk, mud season will be effectively over 🙂

Mine is like Avocado's dog and just looks at me when he has to trod through mud whereas I have my wellies on it has been lovely this week! bring on summer and end of restrictions as well, my one can't wait to go to the pub ....

It's been pissing it down since Sunday night and I was sliding all over the place in the mud today
