Recommended dry dog food

Hi all,

I've got a 7 month old lab and looking to change her food. She's currently on pro plan but not sure it's agreeing with her tummy. Also, her coat isn't in great condition and I'm wondering if that's contributing. I want to keep her on dry food, any recommendations please?

Thanks!

Hi,

We have a 6 month old Lab, on Purina pro plan. I looked at allabout dogfood.com and decided to switch to Essentials The Beginning Large Breed as it was the closest to the nutrition levels of Purina without Maize. So I thought it wouldn't be too rich for her. (sounded out my logic with the vet who seemed happy with it).
Instant difference I have noticed is that the kibble isnt waxy like Purina and also smells a lot better. We are building up the amount of new kibble but so far her poos have stayed the same and she does like it.

We use Millie’s wolf heart. We had a similar problem with other dry food not agreeing with our puppy but he loves this one and his poos are firmer now and not as many of them! It’s free range meat too I think :)

We lost our old girl at 15 on 23rd December. She was a lifelong fusspot. She’d been weaned on human food (not by us!)
and I had to home make her food for her last 3 years. The only exception was Harrington’s kibble, which she would on occasion eat (we tried them ALL!)

We use Happy Dog kibble.

We use Wolfworthy. Smells like Bovril!
